The building dates back to the 19th century, being originally rented housing, then a notary, and finally home to the Cuban Aviation Company from 1929. After years of careful restoration, the Marquis de Cárdenas de Montehermoso reopened as luxury accommodation in the historic centre of Havana in an enviable location just 5 minutes from the Avenida del Puerto and the cruise terminal.The hotel has 21 rooms of 4 different types: Standard, Superior, Mini Suite and Presidential Suite.

The hotel has a surface area of 10 069.34 m². It provides 136 rooms, of which 124 have a terrace. The rooms without terrace measure 21.48 m² and the rooms with a balcony measure 27.29 m².
Located in three blocks each with five floors, each room can accommodate up to 3 people: 2 adults and 1 child, 1 adult and 2 children or 3 adults, the last case only with confirmation of a triple room.
